We took it easy the first day, hiked around on a few trails and soaked up some much needed warm weather. On friday we took off in the jeeps and headed for the rocks. We did the trail called behind the rocks in the morning and went out to picture frame arch for lunch.
Later that afternoon we did another trail called poison spider. We were half way through the trail on our way to an overlook
that drops off 2000 feet into the colorado river when the battery on Marci's jeep most literally exploded....Not Good....We packed everyone into the other jeep and went out to see
the overlook and let the jeep cool down. When we came back to figure out our exit stratagy the jeep cranked and worked fine! We were able to make it back down all the tough spots in the trail before it gave out on us for good. It was now getting dark and we were still stuck so we ended up rolling the jeep the rest of the way down the trail, and luckily made it safely back to town.
On our last day in Moab we did one more trail called seven mile rim, which over looks moab. it was pretty mellow in most spots which was a good change from all the excitment the first two days. I even got to drive for a good portion of the trail. Freaky I thought I was going to killeveryone driving that tank of a jeep but it was lots of fun after I got the hang of it.
The rest of the trail I found the prime spot to sit....On top of the roll cage in the spare tire. It was great and I got a good idea of what it might feel like to ride an elephant!
Over all we had a great trip and a much needed break from all our everyday stresses. Now the jeeping bug has bitten Landon and I we now have the great idea to buy a jeep of our own and fix it up and have it ready for Moab next year! Now I am starting to get excited for our next adventure, In May we are flying out to South Carolina and Landon gets to meed my extended family and see where I spent two summers of my life bumming it on the beach! CANT WAIT!
